Job description

Role Overview

An established enterprise is hiring a Vice President of Procurement to shape and direct sourcing strategy, supplier governance, and category planning across a broad, multi-location spend environment. The role is centered on reducing costs, strengthening supplier results, and advancing procurement modernization in close collaboration with operations, finance, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and steer the organization’s procurement approach across sourcing, supplier management, and category oversight.
  • Manage procurement activity with spend above $500M across several categories and sites.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at lowering costs and improving supplier performance.
  • Create and implement sourcing plans and negotiation strategies for contracts.
  • Develop supplier partnership models along with governance structures for vendors.
  • Introduce procurement tools, workflows, and reporting to increase control and transparency.
  • Work with finance and operations teams to ensure procurement supports business goals.
  • Recruit, develop, and direct a high-performing procurement team.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
  • Prior responsibility for procurement spend of $500M or more.
  • Demonstrated success in cost reduction, supplier improvement, and procurement change initiatives.
  • Strong background in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Experience in multi-site or global procurement settings is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical ability and senior leadership capability.
  • A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

Compensation

The base salary range is $200,000 to $325,000. The role also includes a performance-linked bonus opportunity and a comprehensive executive benefits package.
