Job description
Role Overview
Pan Pacific Hotels Group is a fast-growing hospitality group with three established brands: Pan Pacific®, PARKROYAL COLLECTION® and PARKROYAL®. The company is pursuing ambitious expansion and is seeking an energetic, highly motivated leader who is committed to service excellence. This role is based at the Singapore corporate office and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
The Vice President, Pre-opening and Operations Support will own four major workstreams: operations support, pre-opening, quality and brand standards, and global procurement.
Operations Support
- Strengthen operational performance by improving processes, products, governance, and ongoing reviews of brand operating standards.
- Protect and advance brand consistency and quality assurance across all properties so that guest experience, service delivery, and design intent remain aligned across all three brands.
- Improve financial results through GOP optimisation, tighter cost control, stronger labour productivity, and better flow-through, while preserving guest satisfaction and brand standards.
- Work with Finance and Commercial teams on budgets, forecasts, and performance improvement actions, ensuring expectations from corporate and owners are met.
- Use the Group’s shared expertise and resources to support hotels and spread best practices across the portfolio.
- Help build complete brand product and service plans for both operating hotels and new developments.
- Assist the COO in shaping, refining, and rolling out brand operating standards, including brand magnifiers and priority touchpoints.
- Partner with Commercial, Marketing and Brands, People & Culture, Technical Services, and other departments to ensure standards are delivered consistently.
Operational Financial Performance
- Review monthly operational and financial results, then develop action plans with functional leaders, VP Operations / Area GMs, and GMs to reach performance targets.
- Drive financial performance for both operating assets and pre-opening properties, with emphasis on GOP improvement, expense management, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Commercial teams to create and execute budgets, forecasts, and improvement plans.
- Track key measures such as flow-through, departmental profitability, labour productivity, and cost ratios.
- Spot opportunities for efficiency and implement changes that improve margins without weakening guest experience or brand integrity.
- Support asset management and ownership communication by preparing clear performance reports and strategic recommendations.
Pre-Opening
- Own and coordinate pre-opening activities for all Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL COLLECTION and PARKROYAL hotels and resorts.
- Create and execute detailed pre-opening plans, making sure functions, milestones, timelines, and budgets stay aligned.
- Bring together cross-functional teams and manage vendor partnerships to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Confirm that operational systems, infrastructure, and standards are ready before handover to Operations.
- Track project status closely and take early action to manage risks and critical issues.
- Maintain financial discipline during pre-opening, including staying within budget, controlling costs, and aligning procurement.
- Carry out post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future openings.
Quality and Brand Standards
- Run a strong quality management approach using audits such as LQA, guest feedback tools such as Trust You or similar platforms, and continuous improvement initiatives to lift guest satisfaction and brand compliance.
- Enforce brand standards across both live and pre-opening properties to keep guest experience, design intent, service delivery, and operations consistent.
- Build and manage a robust quality assurance system that includes audits, guest feedback review, and ongoing improvement action plans.
- Work with brand, design, and operations teams to refresh standards in line with market expectations and brand positioning.
- Ensure property teams are accountable for meeting and exceeding quality targets, guest satisfaction goals, and brand compliance measures.
Global Procurement and Strategic Sourcing
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for global procurement and sourcing across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with brand requirements, cost goals, and operational needs.
- Partner with procurement and project teams on pre-opening sourcing for OS&E and FF&E, balancing quality, cost efficiency, and delivery timing.
- Help develop preferred supplier programmes and procurement frameworks that benefit from regional scale and standardisation.
- Promote strong procurement governance, transparency, and compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Support sustainable and responsible sourcing practices that align with the Group’s ESG commitments.
