About the Company

Pan Pacific Hotels Group is a fast-growing hospitality business built around three respected brands: Pan Pacific, PARKROYAL COLLECTION, and PARKROYAL. With ambitious expansion plans, the organisation is looking for energetic, driven professionals who are excited by the hospitality industry and committed to building a strong service excellence culture.

This role is based at the corporate office in Singapore.

Role Overview

The Director, Global Sales will report to the Vice President, Commercial and will be responsible for directing the Group’s overall sales capability across global, property, and cluster teams. The position covers sales strategy, sales processes, tools, performance management, and talent development, with the goal of supporting strong commercial results across the portfolio.

The role also owns a portfolio of key global accounts and leads the planning and execution of global tradeshows and customer events.

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Create, implement, and oversee the Group’s strategic sales plan, including channel optimisation, segmentation, total account management, global sales office activities, and global tradeshows, roadshows, and customer events.
  • Support properties and cluster teams in building annual sales and marketing plans that align with revenue expectations, improve profitability, and reduce risk.
  • Design focused global sales initiatives for different market segments to improve market impact, productivity, and sales efficiency.

Sales and Customer Management

  • Champion a strong sales culture across the organisation and lead customer management and new business development to ensure sales teams remain accountable and aligned to business priorities.
  • Set room-night and revenue targets for each Global Sales Office/GSA by property and business segment, based on the needs of individual properties, to maximise return on sales investment.
  • Build and maintain a strong measurement and reporting framework that supports business needs and limits duplication in crediting business to sales resources.
  • Plan and oversee all global tradeshows and customer events through an annual calendar, while representing the Group at travel and industry meetings, tradeshows, and related events.
  • Work closely with Directors of Sales & Marketing and Directors of Catering Sales, along with their teams, to help deliver annual revenue goals.
  • Manage major customer relationships across corporate, group, leisure wholesale, online travel agents, consortia, airlines, and alliance segments.
  • Oversee the request-for-proposal process through the GSO and property teams to improve annual participation levels.
  • Partner with the PANTHER Distribution team to ensure rate loading and distribution are completed accurately and on time.
  • Develop sales tools and reporting across all sales resources, including sales force automation, annual client sales planning, annual goal setting, and monthly or quarterly productivity reporting.
  • Lead Global Hotel Alliance initiatives and support revenue growth through preferred consortia partnerships, G-Leads, group meeting preferred partnerships, tradeshows, and customer activities.

Human Capital

  • Guide, motivate, evaluate, and help develop key sales talent across property, cluster, and global sales teams, including succession planning.
  • Support recruitment, retention, and training efforts for important sales roles across the business.
  • Ensure sales teams receive the coaching, supervision, and support needed to meet business objectives.
  • Contribute to the Group’s strategic sales management development programme for sales associates.

Financial Management

  • Set financial, competitive, and fiscal goals, and monitor progress both quarterly and annually.
  • Advise senior management on corrective actions needed to stay within budget standards.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Audit properties against the Group’s sales standards and policies, and submit reports to General Managers and senior leadership for follow-up.
  • Document and enforce best practices through standard operating procedures and relevant policies.
  • Review sales incentive plans annually for property, cluster, and global teams to maintain competitiveness and relevance.
  • Keep sales SOPs and policies current across the Group, and create new ones as the business, market, or technology evolves.

The Person

The ideal candidate will bring senior sales leadership experience in the Asia Pacific region, ideally within hospitality, travel, or services. They should have led a global sales organisation and delivered strong outcomes in revenue and market share. Experience in pre-opening sales and marketing for hotels is important, along with international exposure in sales and customer management.

Successful candidates will also have strong business connections across MICE, leisure, and consortia segments in Asia Pacific, a solid grasp of strategic sales management, and the ability to work with data, systems, and reporting tools to identify trends. Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills are essential, and the ability to speak Mandarin is required. Reading and writing Mandarin would be an added advantage.

The role requires someone who can influence stakeholders, execute strategy effectively, work independently, remain proactive in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate strong commercial judgment.

Equal Opportunity

Pan Pacific Hotels Group provides equal employment opportunities, including for individuals with disabilities.
