Role Overview
The Vice President of Operations is charged with overseeing the company's operational effectiveness to ensure adherence to budget goals and optimizing business profitability. This role demands proficiency in technology, systems, financial insight, data evaluation, and metric-driven management. The VP is expected to enhance operating margins through close collaboration with team members and senior leadership while equipping the organization with the necessary tools and support to achieve both immediate and long-term goals. The role necessitates adeptness in juggling multiple priorities, addressing current challenges, and identifying prospective opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operational activities including financial planning, staff management, and the administration and use of company assets, collaborating with executive leadership to guarantee profitability.
- Lead the evaluation, strategic planning, and implementation of operations and customer support initiatives; establish and carry out comprehensive strategic plans.
- Provide strong leadership and managerial support, including mentoring senior management and promoting operational and sales best practices.
- Review existing standard operating procedures, manage exceptions, and pinpoint areas for operational enhancement; work with executive leaders to tackle strategic and operational challenges.
- Track and report on essential operational processes, budget adherence, and key performance metrics.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop annual business plans integrated into the larger company strategy and to forecast long-term growth and expansion.
- Collaborate with the sales team to boost top-line revenue by maintaining and expanding client relationships.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of established leadership experience.
- Previous roles at the director level or higher.
- Experience managing both remote and onsite teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and technological capabilities to quickly comprehend needs and develop, implement, and manage effective programs, metrics, and solutions.
- Demonstrated history of guiding an organization through significant and sustained profitable growth.
- Strong skills in operational management and financial acumen, with proven success in planning and execution.
- Must hold a bachelor's degree.
