Role Impact and Responsibilities

As Vice President of UPS Operations, you will have comprehensive accountability for Pearce’s UPS business nationwide, overseeing financial and operational performance. This leadership role includes full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility encompassing revenue expansion, profitability, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and service delivery across all regions, markets, and accounts.

  • Manage all aspects of UPS field services, including technicians, dispatch, and service partnerships.
  • Lead operational excellence with focus on key performance indicators such as utilization, routing efficiency, first-time fix rates, and service level agreement (SLA) compliance.
  • Develop and implement national strategies that foster profitable growth, consistent operations, and high service standards.
  • Drive workforce planning and management, ensuring a scalable, safety-focused culture among a diverse, distributed team.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Business Development teams to support national accounts, master service agreements, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Build and manage a robust service partner network to support growth nationwide.
  • Serve as the executive escalation contact for critical customer service, quality, or delivery issues.
  • Provide oversight and unify previous regional leadership responsibilities into a cohesive national operation.
  • Develop leadership talent to maintain high organizational performance and safety prioritization.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in field service operations within UPS systems, power systems, battery storage, or related sectors.
  • Hands-on knowledge of UPS infrastructure and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partnerships.
  • Proven record managing enterprise-level operational and financial outcomes with full ownership of revenue, margins, staffing, and client satisfaction across national operations.
  • Experience directing multi-site and large-scale distributed workforces, fostering scalable growth.
  • In-depth understanding of power electronics, UPS systems, generators, and critical electrical infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and manage geographically dispersed teams including technicians and third-party service providers.
  • Expertise in enhancing operational metrics such as resource utilization, SLA adherence, and service efficiency.
  • Strong executive presence with persuasive communication skills aimed at influencing senior leadership, customers, and partners.
  • Robust financial literacy, analytic capabilities, and data-driven decision-making aptitude.
  • Experience navigating matrixed, high-growth company environments and scaling operations through transformations.
