Position Overview

The Vice President of Product Operations leads the transformation of scientific, clinical, digital, and service innovations into market-ready solutions that customers can understand, buy, and consistently use. This executive role integrates product strategy with launch execution, operational readiness, customer experience, and commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a disciplined product operating system that bridges strategy and execution across a growing precision-health product portfolio.
  • Ensure every product launch is scientifically validated, operationally prepared, commercially attractive, and has measurable post-launch outcomes.
  • Drive measurable enhancements in customer conversion, adoption, retention, average order value, and lifetime value.
  • Create transparent dashboards and conduct operating reviews to foster accountability and prompt decision-making at all organizational levels.
  • Manage the full enterprise product portfolio and roadmap covering diagnostics, supplements, subscriptions, digital health tools, clinical services, and evolving precision-health products.
  • Convert company vision, customer needs, market trends, and financial targets into a prioritized product pipeline with clear sequencing and resource allocation.
  • Lead the commercialization lifecycle from concept approval through launch readiness, market introduction, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
  • Coordinate integrated launch plans involving product development, scientific, clinical, regulatory, legal, technology, supply chain, finance, marketing, sales, customer care, and practitioner education teams.
  • Oversee and continuously refine the entire customer journey including awareness, consultation, purchase, onboarding, first value realization, engagement, retention, expansion, and advocacy.
  • Identify and remove barriers that hinder customer engagement, conversion, upselling, and long-term retention.
  • Operate and improve the cross-functional product operating system covering intake, prioritization, requirements management, stage-gate processes, launch calendars, dependency tracking, and post-launch assessments.
  • Collaborate closely with scientific, clinical, medical, and regulatory leaders to ensure evidence-based, clinically responsible, and compliant products and experiences.
  • Ensure that consumer, practitioner, and sales communication materials consistently reflect current scientific narratives and approved claims.
  • Work with the Chief of Staff to align enterprise priorities, resolve cross-functional obstacles, and ensure that commitments result in completed deliverables.
  • Develop product-specific funnel metrics and establish recurring operating rhythms to monitor performance and rapidly test improvements.
  • Provide clear reports on product priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes to the President & COO and executive leadership.

Required Competencies

  • Strong enterprise orientation with the ability to switch effectively between high-level strategy and detailed execution, focusing on customer experience and financial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate scientific, technological, clinical, and customer data into actionable insights for commercial teams and understandable language for customers.
  • Data-driven mindset with financial literacy, able to build business cases, analyze funnel and unit economics, and prioritize resources for maximum value.
  • Proven experience developing and managing cross-functional product operating systems in complex, fast-growing organizations.
  • Highly accountable, decisive, and pragmatic, capable of introducing structure amid evolving priorities and information.
  • Customer-focused and brand-aware, maintaining high standards for clarity, quality, trustworthiness, and consistency.
  • Influential leadership that secures consensus across multiple functions without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Expertise in change management to promote adoption of new systems, standards, and workflows among diverse stakeholders.

Educational and Professional Background

  • Minimum 10 years of increasingly senior leadership experience in product management, commercialization, operations, customer experience, or closely related areas, including executive-level roles.
  • Track record of successfully launching products or services from conception through launch and scaling across various channels and customer groups.
  • Preferred experience in health-related fields such as wellness, diagnostics, supplements, consumer health, digital health, healthcare services, or other regulated, science-driven sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to enhance key performance indicators like conversion rates, adoption, retention, recurring revenue, customer lifetime value, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience managing complex cross-disciplinary programs involving product development, technology, marketing, sales, scientific/clinical, regulatory, supply chain, and customer support.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or equivalent executive experience are preferred.
