About HealthCorps

HealthCorps is a nationally recognized nonprofit devoted to improving community health through innovative educational programs, leadership development, and service learning initiatives. We empower youth to become advocates for healthier choices within their families, schools, and communities, addressing the challenges caused by limited access to health education that can impact social, emotional, and physical well-being throughout life.

Role Overview

HealthCorps is establishing a new Growth & Strategic Partnerships Division, and seeks a Vice President to lead this division as its visionary architect and driving force. This role encompasses managing national funder and strategic partnerships, overseeing development, grant management and fundraising efforts, shaping brand and marketing strategies, and expanding alumni, community, and hub partnerships. Supported by a national team and program managers across hubs, this role reports directly to the CEO and carries a broad portfolio including independent partnership management and collaboration with senior leadership to meet revenue and growth objectives. The VP will also represent HealthCorps at donor meetings, funding forums, and sector events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead external relationship strategies with health systems, corporate sponsors, school districts, foundations, and community groups, serving as a chief external liaison alongside the CEO.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive partnership framework aligning funder priorities with organizational growth goals, building a pipeline of new partnerships from prospects through closing.
  • Manage partner stewardship to grow loyalty, renewals, and upgrade existing relationships while monitoring funding trends to keep HealthCorps strategically ahead.
  • Handle the full sales cycle for mid-tier and emerging partnership opportunities, crafting compelling pitches, proposals, and grant applications utilizing program outcome data.
  • Lead brand strategy, managing all external communication channels with oversight of the Marketing Manager, and developing partner-facing collateral like decks and impact reports.
  • Coordinate local advisory committees, strengthen HealthCorps' market presence with events and partnerships, and actively engage alumni as a strategic network supporting advisory and volunteer roles.
  • Lead and mentor a division team including Senior Manager of Development, Marketing Manager, Director of Events, and Alumni & Community Manager, establishing KPIs and managing budgets.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 7 years in strategic partnerships, business development, sales, or revenue-oriented roles with proven success in managing and growing high-value relationships.
  • Experience balancing personal portfolio management with team leadership and development.
  • Strong presentation, pitching, and communication skills suitable for boardrooms and funder engagements.
  • Proficiency in defining brand direction and coordinating marketing or communications that translate complex program data into engaging narratives.
  • Excellent written communication capabilities across proposals, grants, and impact reports.
  • Familiarity with health systems, corporate social responsibility, educational or youth-serving sectors is advantageous.
  • Comfort operating within entrepreneurial, rapid-growth environments requiring system and structure creation.
  • Skilled with CRM systems and data-driven management of partnership pipelines.
  • Committed to near-peer mentorship and advancing health equity and youth development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, public health, communications, marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Seven-plus years of relevant professional experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales, or revenue leadership.
  • Experience directing teams and leading cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven ability to close and manage partnership portfolios.
  • Willingness to travel to hubs, partner sites, and sector conferences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, health systems, CSR, or youth-focused organizations.
  • History of philanthropic fundraising or revenue generation through client or sponsor relations.
  • Expertise in creating advisory boards or community engagement groups.
  • Advanced degrees or equivalent professional development preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time exempt position with a competitive benefits package. Salary is influenced by candidate qualifications, experience, skills, and location. Preference is given to applicants living in HealthCorps hub regions, including Phoenix, AZ.
