About HealthCorps
HealthCorps is a nationwide nonprofit organization focused on enhancing community health by tackling health challenges through innovative strategies in education, leadership, and service learning. The program empowers teenagers to become proactive agents of change within their families, schools, and communities, recognizing that limited health education access can cause long-term social, emotional, and physical difficulties.
Role Overview
HealthCorps is establishing a new Growth & Strategic Partnerships Division. The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Growth will design, lead, and externally represent this division. Responsibilities include overseeing national funder and strategic partnerships, driving fundraising and grant management, shaping brand identity and marketing efforts, and expanding alumni, community, and hub partnerships. The role includes collaboration with a national team and program managers across various hubs.
Reporting to the CEO, the VP will manage a portfolio of partnerships, collaborate with leadership to meet revenue and growth targets, and represent HealthCorps at donor meetings, funders' gatherings, and sector events. This role is suited to a mission-aligned executive adept at both strategic outreach and internal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead external relationship strategy, cultivating partnerships with health systems, corporate sponsors, school districts, foundations, and community groups.
- Create and oversee a partnership strategy that aligns funder priorities with organizational growth goals.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of partnership opportunities and cultivate new prospects.
- Manage the entire sales cycle for partnerships, from prospecting through to agreement and activation.
- Develop and present compelling pitches, proposals, and grant applications using HealthCorps' outcomes data.
- Shape the strategic direction of the HealthCorps brand, overseeing marketing channels and collaborating with the marketing team.
- Lead the creation of partner-facing materials such as decks, impact reports, and communications.
- Represent HealthCorps at conferences, sector events, and media appearances alongside leadership.
- Strengthen community engagement by building local advisory committees and cultivating alumni involvement.
- Lead and mentor a team including development, marketing, events, and alumni/community managers, monitoring KPIs and managing the division budget.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 7 years experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales, or revenue leadership roles with proven success closing and managing high-value partnerships.
- Experience leading teams while managing own portfolio; a hands-on leadership style.
- Strong skills in pitching, presentation, and strategic communication with various stakeholders.
- Expertise in brand development and marketing communications.
- Excellent written communication skills for proposals, grant narratives, and impact reporting.
- Familiarity with health systems, corporate social responsibility, education, or youth-serving sectors is an advantage.
- Comfortable working in entrepreneurial, fast-growth settings with ability to build new systems.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and data-driven pipeline management.
- Commitment to mentorship, health equity, and youth development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public health, marketing, communications, or related discipline required.
- 7+ years professional experience in relevant fields including leadership of teams.
- Demonstrated ability in closing and growing partnerships and managing accounts.
- Capacity for required travel to partner sites, hubs, and industry events.
- Preferred qualifications include healthcare or nonprofit experience, philanthropy/fundraising background, community engagement experience, and advanced degrees.
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time exempt role offering a comprehensive benefits package tailored to health, financial security, and wellness. Salary varies according to experience, skills, and location, with preference given to candidates in specified US hub regions. Benefits include generous paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, and ancillary benefits. The organization observes major federal holidays.
