About the Role

We are hiring a seasoned, outcome-focused Vice President of Strategic Execution to strengthen the executive leadership team. This position centers on turning strategic priorities into practical action, keeping business goals tightly connected to day-to-day delivery, and ensuring large-scale programs are completed successfully across the organization.

The role involves working side by side with senior leaders and teams across the business to build execution methods, track strategic movement, and improve overall organizational performance. The right candidate will bring deep leadership experience, strong program management expertise, and the ability to coordinate complex work across multiple functions.

Strategic Execution Leadership

  • Direct the implementation of company-wide strategic initiatives and priority objectives.
  • Create execution structures that help business goals move from plan to delivery.
  • Set up governance approaches that maintain visibility, progress tracking, and accountability.
  • Ensure strategic direction is reflected in operational activity.
  • Assist executive leaders in advancing key organizational goals.

Enterprise Program Management

  • Lead major cross-functional programs and high-priority projects across the organization.
  • Make sure initiatives are completed on time, within budget, and to the expected standard.
  • Review program status and share regular progress updates with executive leadership.
  • Coordinate people, resources, and stakeholders to keep delivery on track.
  • Encourage consistent program and project management practices.

Business Performance & Execution Oversight

  • Define and monitor KPIs tied to strategic initiatives.
  • Measure organizational progress against strategic goals and operational checkpoints.
  • Study performance data to uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting and recommendations to support decisions.
  • Help foster a culture centered on accountability and measurable results.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with leaders in operations, finance, technology, human resources, and other business areas.
  • Enable clear communication and coordination across departments involved in strategic work.
  • Promote organization-wide alignment and teamwork.
  • Help resolve delivery obstacles through strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Support open knowledge sharing and transparency across the organization.

Process Improvement & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Assess execution workflows and identify ways to improve speed and effectiveness.
  • Introduce best practices that strengthen performance and operational consistency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across departments.
  • Build standardized methods for strategic execution and program governance.
  • Encourage disciplined operations and stronger organizational effectiveness.

Organizational Growth & Transformation

  • Support transformation programs and broader organizational development efforts.
  • Help leadership manage change tied to strategic initiatives.
  • Design scalable execution approaches that can grow with the company.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and resource needs related to major programs.
  • Contribute to long-term planning and overall business success.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, coach, and support high-performing project, program, and execution teams.
  • Create a collaborative environment that values accountability and strong performance.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.

Qualifications

Required:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Operations, Project Management, or a similar discipline.
  • At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in strategy execution, program management, business operations, consulting, or organizational leadership.
  • Proven background leading enterprise-level initiatives and cross-functional programs.
  • Strong grasp of strategic planning, execution management, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Experience supporting major transformation and change efforts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with executive leaders and a wide range of stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • MBA or another advanced degree in business or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar credentials.
  • Background in technology, financial services, consulting, healthcare, or professional services.
  • Experience operating in multi-location or global environments.
  • Strong business analysis and strategic planning skills.

Reporting Structure

This role reports directly to either the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Direct reports may include Program Directors, PMO Leaders, Strategic Projects Managers, Business Operations Managers, Project Management Teams, and Transformation Program Leaders.
