Role Overview
Stoppler Hughes is looking for an experienced Vice President of Sales based in Calgary to lead strategic revenue growth initiatives. This senior role involves shaping sales and pricing strategies, driving customer acquisition, and optimizing profit margins in a highly competitive market.
Core Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans on annual, quarterly, and monthly bases.
- Discover and pursue new revenue streams and emerging market opportunities.
- Supervise marketing campaigns aimed at boosting sales figures and minimizing customer churn.
- Keep track of competitor pricing and tactics, providing robust counter-strategies to maintain market advantage.
- Deliver regular updates on sales and marketing performance to senior leadership, focusing on volume vs margin and fixed vs floating pricing strategies.
- Lead the organization's pricing strategy to maintain competitiveness while enhancing profit margins.
- Collaborate with finance to assess margin impact and evaluate the success of promotional activities.
- Head customer acquisition channels, including managing the Energy Marketer network and direct sales teams.
- Optimize commission models and evaluate the profitability of sales channels.
- Partner with the Chief Technology Officer to enhance user experience and sales systems.
- Drive integrated sales and marketing campaigns to increase brand presence throughout Alberta.
- Administer digital marketing efforts, maintaining deep knowledge of Energy Marketer, Marketing Associate, and self-retail programs.
- Track metrics such as customer acquisition cost and improve conversion rates across the sales funnel.
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to ensure commercial strategies are aligned with company goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 10 to 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in telecommunications, energy sectors, subscription business models, pricing strategies, and channel sales within competitive markets.
- Proven ability to lead teams and external vendor partnerships effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills with experience delivering presentations to executive audiences.
Additional Information
This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $220,000 annually, complemented by a performance-based bonus that can reach up to 100% of the base pay.
