About the Role
Saint Dominic's Family Services seeks a Vice President of Recruitment to strategically lead the organization's talent acquisition, workforce planning, recruitment management, and onboarding processes. This executive role reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and is pivotal in designing and executing innovative recruitment strategies that ensure workforce growth, stability, succession planning, and the hiring of highly qualified individuals across diverse service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct agency-wide recruitment efforts and workforce planning initiatives to meet organizational needs.
- Create and deploy innovative hiring strategies to address staffing challenges, including difficult-to-fill roles.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with educational institutions, community groups, and workforce development programs.
- Oversee recruitment marketing, employer branding, social media campaigns, applicant tracking systems, recruitment technologies, and vendor management.
- Develop effective sourcing approaches to widen candidate pools and improve hiring results.
- Represent the agency at job fairs, networking events, and community outreach programs.
- Analyze recruitment data such as vacancy rates, applicant flow, source efficiency, time-to-fill, quality of hires, offer acceptance, turnover rates, and effectiveness of recruitment processes.
- Continuously refine recruitment workflows to boost efficiency and enhance candidates' experiences.
- Lead long-term workforce planning in collaboration with executive management, incorporating labor market analyses to forecast staffing requirements.
- Design and implement employee retention initiatives, analyzing turnover trends and suggesting improvements to enhance workforce stability.
- Collaborate with the Organizational Learning & Employee Development team to strengthen onboarding, career development, leadership growth, and succession planning.
- Provide leadership and oversight for recruitment team members including the Talent Acquisition Director and Human Resources Administrator.
- Manage recruitment budgets, contracts, and vendor partnerships effectively.
- Present workforce and recruitment reports to senior leadership and board committees as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all pertinent federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support agency goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Human Services, Organizational Development, or related fields.
- At least 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in talent acquisition, recruitment operations, workforce planning, or staffing strategy.
- Minimum of 3 years in managing recruitment teams and talent acquisition functions.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), human resource information systems (HRIS), recruitment analytics, and workforce reporting is preferred.
- Proven ability to prioritize effectively and collaborate with leaders and program staff.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in interpreting business and technical materials, including professional journals and government regulations.
- Skilled in writing business communications, reports, and procedural documentation.
- Effective communicator capable of presenting to management, clients, and the public and responding to inquiries.
- Culturally sensitive and able to engage respectfully with diverse population groups.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Able to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Capable of clear and effective communication.
- Physical ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
- Willingness and ability to travel between agency locations and participate in recruitment events as necessary.
