Role Overview
This leadership position is focused on guiding the operations and customer experience functions with a clear strategic vision. The role is responsible for ensuring strong operational performance, reliable delivery of high-quality products, and a workplace culture that prioritizes safety and employee engagement. The position reports to the VP & General Manager of Vestcom.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the leadership representative for Operations, Supply Chain, Machine Group, and Customer Experience functions on the Vestcom leadership team.
- Own performance outcomes tied to on-time, in-full delivery and continuous year-over-year improvement across financial results, quality, service, safety, employee engagement, inventory, and organizational development.
- Lead the organization to achieve or exceed financial targets and operational KPIs.
- Introduce and scale world-class operational practices to elevate overall capability.
- Keep environmental, health, and safety priorities at the center of the operating model.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships inside and outside the business to bring advanced improvements into manufacturing processes.
- Manage organizational change so that operations stay aligned with customer and market needs.
- Encourage innovation through technology, service, and company culture.
- Foster a workplace grounded in safety, trust, teamwork, respect, and high employee engagement.
- Design an operating structure that supports business needs, build successor readiness, implement succession plans, and lead a multi-function, multi-site leadership team.
- Hold regular business reviews with business and finance leaders to create, assess, and track action plans that support profitable growth.
- Contribute to and align the division’s strategic planning and annual planning cycles, including ownership of key financial targets.
- Drive stronger and more consistent employee engagement across Vestcom service bureaus.
Qualifications
- At least 12 years of operations experience, including site leadership and management of cross-functional and organizational initiatives.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Prior profit and loss management experience.
- Background in planning and forecasting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to hold teams accountable for results.
- Proven leadership strength and experience motivating and inspiring employees.
- Strong planning, organization, project management, and strategy execution skills, including capital and expense budgeting.
- Ability to lead in line with Vestcom and Avery Dennison values.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
