Role Overview
This is a full-time, on-site Vice President of Operations position near Boston, Massachusetts. The role focuses on improving operational performance across several locations, with responsibility for financial results, regulatory compliance, patient experience, and leadership of teams. Experience with profit and loss management in an orthopedic environment is mandatory. Background in physician practice management is strongly preferred. Salary, bonus, and relocation support are included.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand patient volumes while making access to quality care easier and more efficient.
- Oversee operational, clinical, and financial outcomes across the region.
- Work closely with Finance, HR, and clinical leaders to advance business objectives.
- Strengthen a workplace culture centered on outstanding patient service, operational excellence, and innovation.
- Develop productive relationships with physicians and administrative stakeholders.
- Guide staff development, performance oversight, and growth across multiple practices.
- Represent the organization in the community and help build brand visibility.
- Use data, business insights, and operational experience to shape strategic decisions.
- Design and implement initiatives that improve efficiency, revenue, and overall results.
Qualifications
- Established leadership experience in operations with a proven ability to improve performance and support growth.
- Healthcare operations experience is required, with orthopedic experience specifically required.
- Prior success managing multi-site operations is preferred.
- Strong financial and business judgment, including the ability to turn data into practical action.
- Experience creating, coaching, and leading high-performing teams in clinical and operational settings.
- Capability in mentoring, coaching, and managing performance effectively.
- Comfortable balancing long-term strategy with direct, hands-on execution.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Advanced education in business, healthcare administration, or a similar field is preferred.
