Role Summary
The Vice President of Marketing Communications is a senior leadership position focused on shaping how the company communicates its brand, market message, and value proposition. This role drives integrated marketing communications, brand development, digital outreach, content strategy, and public relations to strengthen brand equity, increase market visibility, and support business expansion.
The position works across marketing, brand management, public relations, digital communications, and sales to ensure the company presents a consistent and compelling voice in the market.
The core objective of the role is to expand corporate influence and contribute to business growth through effective brand and market communication.
Key Responsibilities
This role includes creating global communication strategies, leading brand messaging, and coordinating all major marketing communication channels. It also involves building strong media relationships, guiding corporate reputation efforts, planning marketing events, and using digital and AI-enabled tools to improve communication outcomes.
Global Marketing Communication Strategy
- Develop worldwide brand communication plans and align them with the company’s broader growth goals.
- Create an integrated communications framework and annual communication roadmap.
- Support strategic initiatives that drive corporate expansion.
Brand Strategy and Brand Communication
- Lead corporate brand-building efforts and define how brand values are communicated.
- Maintain consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
- Work to improve brand equity, awareness, reputation, and loyalty.
Integrated Marketing Communications
- Coordinate messaging across advertising, digital channels, social media, public relations, and events.
- Build a unified communication approach that keeps all outreach aligned.
Digital Marketing Communications
- Oversee search engine marketing, social media marketing, content marketing, and marketing automation.
- Use data-led methods to improve campaign performance and audience engagement.
Public Relations and Media Management
- Manage relationships with media outlets and industry analysts.
- Support investor communication efforts and crisis communication planning.
Corporate Reputation Management
- Strengthen the company’s public image through proactive communications.
- Support ESG messaging, crisis response, and public sentiment monitoring.
Marketing Events and Brand Promotion
- Plan and execute industry summits, product launches, customer events, and global campaigns.
- Use events and promotions to raise brand visibility and generate leads.
AI-Driven Marketing Communications
- Apply AI tools to improve content creation, marketing automation, audience analysis, and personalized communication.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product management, customer success, investor relations, and human resources.
- Ensure communication remains consistent across business functions.
Team Leadership
- Lead a global communications team that may include directors and heads across brand communications, PR, digital marketing, content marketing, and events.
Qualifications
- A background in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, business management, or international business is typically expected.
- An MBA is preferred.
- Applicants should bring 12 to 20+ years of experience, with exposure to brand marketing, corporate communications, digital marketing, and global team leadership.
- Experience as a Brand Director, PR Director, Marketing Director, or Head of Corporate Communications is preferred.
