Position Overview
This leadership role directs the IT Department's technical and administrative functions, managing infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity. The VP of IT ensures the network—both on-premises and cloud-based—meets organizational needs. The position also supports other Tulsa Housing divisions in data processing, project management, strategic initiatives, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all computer systems, servers, networks, and cloud platforms across Tulsa Housing Authority.
- Ensure IT systems' reliability, uptime, and performance.
- Manage telecommunications, including phone systems and mobile devices.
- Supervise electronic systems such as security and access control technologies.
- Maintain data integrity and standardization across departments.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive cybersecurity program with policies, procedures, and incident response.
- Monitor and mitigate cyber risks and ensure compliance with HUD and other regulations.
- Lead agency-wide cybersecurity training and disaster recovery planning.
- Establish AI governance policies to ensure responsible, ethical, and compliant use of AI tools aligned with agency goals.
- Oversee implementation and monitoring of AI-driven processes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Manage IT budget development and capital technology investments.
- Evaluate technology investments to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Maintain vendor relationships, ensuring contract and service quality.
- Collaborate internally to align technology with operational and strategic goals, including enterprise system optimization.
- Provide regular reports to executive leadership and communicate technical information clearly.
- Directly supervise three IT staff members and manage hiring, training, performance, and employee relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field required.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT leadership experience, preferably in multi-site environments.
- Demonstrated success managing help desk, systems, and network operations.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 suite including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License required.
