Director of IT

About the Role and Company

Zwift is a dynamic, global enterprise with approximately 300 employees distributed across four continents, primarily working remotely. We operate as a cloud-first company utilizing hundreds of SaaS applications and maintain offices in California, Brazil, and the United Kingdom. IT is a pivotal function responsible for supporting our mission by ensuring the security and efficiency of company systems, data, and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IT strategies in alignment with company leadership goals.
• Lead and manage a compact remote team of five IT professionals.
• Oversee contractor engagements as required.
• Maintain full accountability for management and operation of all corporate IT assets.
• Supervise the IT Help Desk functions.
• Contribute actively to PCI DSS compliance initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Information Security team to safeguard corporate IT assets.
• Manage the IT department budget in partnership with the Director of Procurement.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience supporting remote workforces within cloud-first ecosystems.
• Demonstrated capability leading small remote teams and managing help desk operations.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the IT field, including 3 to 5 years in formal leadership positions.
• Expertise in managing and administering:
  • Ticketing systems
  • Identity provider solutions
  • Inventory management platforms
  • Google Workspace applications
  • Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
  • Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
  • Windows domain environments
  • Workstations and servers running Windows, MacOS, and Linux
  • Office networking systems
• Experience conducting patch management programs.
• Proven record handling cross-functional teams, budget oversight, and vendor relationships.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Familiarity with PCI DSS compliance processes.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Additional Information and Employment Details

Zwift enforces a strict policy against undisclosed use of AI tools during recruitment; any violation will lead to disqualification. The annual base salary for this position ranges between 122500 and 195000 USD depending on experience, expertise, and location.
