Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and seasoned Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis (VP, FP&A) to join our finance leadership. This position reports directly to the VP and plays a pivotal role in defining financial strategy, overseeing financial processes, and providing insightful analysis to guide strategic decisions. Expertise in healthcare finance, especially value-based care, and financial modeling is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting efforts to align with organizational goals.
- Create long-range financial plans and models supporting growth initiatives, including new value-based care programs and collaborations.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to analyze financial impacts of strategic moves, partnerships, and investments.
- Administer provider payments and manage financial aspects of value-based care programs.
- Supervise preparation and examination of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports to deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to optimize costs and financial results aligned with value-based reimbursement.
- Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards to track financial and operational performance relative to strategy.
- Handle investor relations for joint ventures, venture capital, private equity investors, and lenders, including financial communications and reports.
- Work alongside legal and compliance teams to maintain compliance with investor agreements and financing terms.
- Lead, coach, and develop the FP&A team, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture across functions.
- Communicate financial insights and strategic recommendations to the CFO, Board, and key stakeholders.
- Build strong partnerships with leaders across departments for financial goal alignment.
- Engage in face-to-face meetings and travel as necessary to collaborate with stakeholders and participate in company events.
- Drive ongoing improvements in financial planning, modeling, and reporting systems.
- Lead implementation and enhancement of FP&A tools to improve forecasting, reporting, and scenario modeling.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, or related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis with senior leadership experience.
- At least 8 years in healthcare finance, ideally within value-based care or managed care settings.
- Strong leadership qualities marked by integrity and collaborative management style.
- Proven history of driving financial performance and operational efficiency alongside strategic growth.
- Proficient at designing and refining scalable FP&A processes that promote efficiency and high-quality insights.
- Experience managing mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and complex financial integrations.
- Skilled at advising senior leaders on financial strategies with significant organizational impact.
- Expertise in developing and analyzing sophisticated financial strategies supporting effective business planning.
- Detail-focused, analytical problem solver with ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate across diverse teams.
