Overview
This executive leadership role is for a Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis based in France, overseeing the FP&A function within a global, rapidly expanding technology company operating entirely remotely. The VP FP&A will collaborate intimately with the CFO and senior leadership team to architect financial strategies, guide long-term organizational growth, and produce insightful, data-driven financial intelligence to inform crucial business decisions. This position entails ownership of forecasting, budgeting, financial modeling, performance reporting, and capital planning. The role also involves enhancing financial operations across diverse international markets and participating in strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions and interactions with executive stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the FP&A organization globally, providing strategic financial direction across multiple business units and international markets.
- Create, maintain, and refine financial models, forecasts, budgets, and long-term planning frameworks that underpin sustainable growth.
- Deliver comprehensive financial analyses, scenario planning, KPI monitoring, and performance insights to senior leadership.
- Collaborate closely with the CFO and executive team on strategic planning, capital allocation, investment decisions, and M&A activities.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with investors and other key stakeholders through detailed executive and board-level financial reporting and updates.
- Drive enhancements in financial reporting accuracy, planning methodologies, analytical capabilities, and operational efficiencies using data-driven approaches.
- Build, lead, mentor, and develop a high-caliber FP&A team fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities to support decision-making and promote long-term value creation for the organization.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years in Financial Planning & Analysis roles, including at least 5 years in senior leadership positions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field; advanced qualifications like an MBA or CPA are highly regarded.
- Extensive experience in high-growth, global software, technology, fintech, SaaS, or payments sectors.
- Demonstrated background working in private equity-backed firms, with proven interactions and partnerships with investors and senior executives.
- Expertise in advanced financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, scenario assessment, and strategic financial analysis.
- Exceptional communication and presentation proficiency, capable of delivering insights effectively to executive teams, boards, and investors.
- Proven leadership in managing distributed finance teams and cultivating high-performing professionals within remote work environments.
- Strong analytical mindset, excellent business judgment, problem-solving skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
