Job description

Company Overview

Bespoke Fashion is a fast-scaling apparel business focused on men’s accessories. Established in 2012 by a third-generation neckwear entrepreneur, the company is headquartered in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Over time, it has grown from a strong neckwear brand into a broader accessories portfolio that includes socks, jewelry, small leather goods, and other related product lines. The organization is known for refined product design, careful craftsmanship, and a contemporary brand narrative. It operates as a small, agile team that moves quickly, works collaboratively, and places equal value on creativity and operational rigor.

Role Summary

The Vice President of Finance will provide leadership across FP&A, accounting, treasury, compliance, and IT oversight while the business continues to expand and launch new divisions. In partnership with the President and executive leadership, this person will help shape financial direction, strengthen operating discipline, improve reporting quality, and support key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

The role requires close ownership of financial planning, margin analysis, accounting controls, cash management, and oversight of technology operations. It also includes executive-level support for growth strategy, new initiatives, and board-facing reporting.

Additional Details

This position reports to the President. The work setup is hybrid/on-site, with an expectation of being in the office three days each week.

Growth, Strategy, and FP&A

  • Lead forecasting, long-range planning, financial modeling, and analytics to support business expansion, potential acquisitions, and planning for new divisions.
  • Prepare board-level financial reporting and decision-support materials.

Margin, Profitability, and Business Performance

  • Track gross margin performance, category-level profitability, pricing actions, cost-saving opportunities, and product mix across the company’s divisions.

Accounting and Financial Reporting

  • Direct the monthly close process and ensure financial statements are accurate and completed on time.
  • Maintain compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Oversee preparation for the annual review.

Treasury, Liquidity, and Risk

  • Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, capital structure planning, working capital, liquidity, and overall financial risk.

IT Oversight

  • Supervise IT operations, systems support, and security governance in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

Leadership and Business Partnership

  • Work closely with executive leadership to guide financial strategy and support operational execution.
  • Lead and develop a finance team, including direct reports, while building a strong leadership bench.

Process and Systems Improvement

  • Improve finance processes, increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support automation and systems modernization.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should bring significant finance leadership experience, including several years in a VP-level or comparable role. The ideal background includes strong command of FP&A, forecasting, accounting, reporting, and compliance, along with experience supporting growth, expansion, or integration of new business units. The role also calls for proven team leadership, strong executive communication, analytical problem-solving ability, and effective stakeholder management.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in apparel, retail, consumer goods, or another fast-growing mid-market environment.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled tools, BlueCherry ERP, D365 Business Central, or similar platforms.
  • CPA, MBA, or another advanced finance qualification.
  • Experience preparing board reports or working in investor relations.

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is suited to senior finance leaders who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, particularly those experienced in scaling businesses and improving financial and operating infrastructure.
