About the Role

The Vice President of Finance and Corporate Development at Linktree is a pivotal leadership position focused on defining and executing the company’s financial strategy while elevating the finance team’s operational effectiveness. Reporting directly to the COO and collaborating closely with the CEO and other executives, this role ensures robust decision-making, prudent investment, and sustainable expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee long-term financial forecasting, annual budgets, and rolling projections that align with company strategies.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to advise leadership on balancing growth, profitability, and capital efficiency.
• Act as a strategic advisor on business model evolution, pricing, monetization, margin improvement, and global market expansion.
• Drive the establishment of financial targets, accountability frameworks, and operational rhythms across teams.
• Lead company-wide financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance reviews, and key performance indicator reporting.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Product, Engineering, Marketing, Growth, Operations, and Administration to optimize spend effectiveness and investment decisions.
• Enhance forecasting accuracy, planning methodologies, and management reports to empower faster, well-informed leadership actions.
• Supervise financial operations including Accounting, Controllership, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Payable with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and audit readiness across locations to support scalable processes.
• Champion automation and system enhancements to improve reporting quality and reduce manual work.
• Manage liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and capital to maintain financial agility supporting business growth.
• Identify and execute strategic investments, partnerships, and mergers/acquisitions consistent with Linktree’s growth objectives.
• Lead financial due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, and post-transaction integration activities.
• Represent the company in negotiations and strategic discussions with external partners and investors.
• Support board and investor communication by preparing comprehensive reports that highlight financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvements in financial systems, leveraging automation and AI to enhance reporting speed and forecast precision.
• Build and develop a high-performing global finance team of over 10 members, fostering accountability, curiosity, and ongoing growth.
• Lead by example, balancing strategic leadership with practical involvement in the team’s work.

What We Look For

• 8 to 12+ years of advancing finance roles, including experience in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity and senior roles in strategic finance or FP&A within fast-growing SaaS, consumer internet or technology firms.
• Strong understanding of subscription business models and creator economy dynamics, with proficiency in core SaaS financial metrics such as ARR, retention, CAC/LTV, contribution margin, and cohort analysis.
• Proven leadership skills to coach and develop finance teams, building effective partnerships across organizations in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to combine executive-level judgment with hands-on problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in corporate development including financial diligence, valuation modeling, M&A, fundraising, and capital markets activities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of financial operations including accounting, tax, treasury, payroll, and accounts processes.
• Track record in long-term financial planning, capital allocation, and preparing board-level materials.
• Expert-level financial modeling and analysis skills, advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency, and familiarity with FP&A, ERP, and BI tools such as NetSuite and Looker.
• Exceptional communication skills enabling clear translation of complex financial data into actionable insights.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with demonstrated success in high-growth and fast-moving organizations.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related disciplines; MBA preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Linktree offers a competitive pay package including salary, equity, and benefits. For candidates based in San Francisco and Los Angeles, the targeted base salary ranges from $320,000 to $350,000, subject to factors like location and experience.
