Job description
About the role
ProLine is a fast-growing B2B SaaS startup headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and it is looking for a Vice President of Finance and Accounting to help shape the company’s next stage of growth. In this leadership role, you will guide the finance function, partner directly with the CEO, and support strategic decisions across the business.
The scope of the role includes financial forecasting, annual budgeting, KPI reporting, variance analysis against operating plans, annual audit coordination, and broader cross-functional financial initiatives. You will be part of the leadership team and work closely with executive and department leaders to strengthen planning, reporting, and financial discipline.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside the CEO and executive team on annual and long-range strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support growth and better decision-making.
- Manage cash deployment and working capital so the company keeps enough financial flexibility to meet strategic goals.
- Own the FP&A function, covering annual budgets, rolling forecasts, financial models, and reporting for the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, cash flow, and SaaS-specific metrics.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and KPI dashboards, and highlight trends in revenue, cost of sales, operating expenses, headcount, and other key business drivers.
- Work with department leaders to provide budget support, financial oversight, performance insights, and analytical guidance.
- Build and improve financial models and scenario analyses that raise forecast accuracy and support business decisions.
- Protect the quality of financial data, systems, and reporting by improving controls, data accuracy, and system connections.
- Supervise accounting activities such as bookkeeping, month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, customer invoicing, collections, and cash management.
- Coordinate outside finance relationships, including auditors, banks, outsourced accounting teams, and other vendors.
- Run the annual audit and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to support compliance and accurate reporting.
- Track accounts receivable and collections, escalate significant delinquency concerns to the CEO, and help improve working capital.
- Help build out the finance department as the company grows.
Must-have qualifications
- At least 6 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years focused on FP&A.
- Experience with subscription and payments revenue models, preferably in a growth-stage B2B SaaS company.
- Strong command of financial concepts, forecasting, and US GAAP accounting.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with advanced spreadsheet modeling skills in tools such as Google Sheets and Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to tackle complex financial issues.
- Careful attention to detail and a strong focus on accuracy.
- Hands-on mindset and willingness to step in and do what is needed.
- Strategic and creative thinking ability.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in a close-knit team environment.
- Experience with or exposure to QuickBooks, Arbo, Stripe, and other common finance tools used in a growth-stage B2B SaaS setting.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to SaaS embedded payment processing.
- Background with roofing or field service businesses.
- Previous experience in a technology startup.
