About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Vice President to lead Mergers and Acquisitions activities within a specialized corporate finance advisory focused on the German mid-market. This position demands a strategic leader capable of managing complex Buy- and Sell-Side transactions and select financing projects, serving as a vital partner to executive management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead M&A projects independently, managing internal teams and external parties, including clients, potential investors, and advisors.
- Produce and oversee critical transaction documents, such as long and short lists, teasers, information memoranda, and management presentations.
- Coordinate the full deal lifecycle, including due diligence, data room administration, management workshops, and support during contract negotiations.
- Supervise and develop the M&A team while contributing to organizational improvements and integrating AI-supported processes.
- Drive deal origination activities by preparing pitch materials, conducting sector analyses, and expanding an active M&A network.
Candidate Profile
- Approximately 5 to 7 years of pertinent experience in M&A, corporate finance, strategy consulting, commercial due diligence, corporate strategy, or related analytical fields.
- Proven track record of successfully completing multiple M&A transactions.
- Strong expertise in analyzing markets, competition, and business models with a methodical, analytical, and solution-focused approach.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new industries and business models, presenting complex information clearly.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint with proficiency in data-driven analysis and tailored presentations.
- Demonstrated high initiative, accountability, and commitment to delivering quality outputs.
- Fluent in German and English with confident communication skills for diverse stakeholder interaction.
