Role overview
This position leads an architecture studio and owns projects from concept through delivery. The role combines design leadership, client engagement, business development, and financial accountability, including profit and loss responsibility.
What you will do
- Head architectural design and project teams, offering both technical direction and administrative oversight.
- Guide team members so that design solutions align closely with client expectations and project goals.
- Participate in business development discussions focused on target markets, clients, and upcoming opportunities.
- Develop tender submissions, bids, and proposal materials.
- Produce architectural concepts and conduct design reviews.
- Perform feasibility assessments and deliver design presentations to stakeholders.
- Communicate with clients on project issues and progress throughout delivery.
- Negotiate design-related requirements and construction progress with contractors.
- Manage contract administration to keep construction aligned with the approved design and applicable building regulations.
- Monitor site activity, address on-site issues, and help ensure work follows the design intent.
- Coordinate more than 3 to 4 projects at the same time across design and delivery phases.
- Collaborate with engineers and surveyors so the project meets required standards.
- Act as Project Director, owning project P&L and resource planning.
- Potentially serve as Lead Architect depending on assignment.
