Role Overview
The Vice President of IT Project Management will oversee daily management of several substantial IT projects, ensuring tactical execution and operational detail adherence while defining project phases and methodology improvements for successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive financial performance by benchmarking and maximizing project revenues while implementing KPIs and promoting cost-efficiency and productivity enhancements.
- Operate within delegated authority levels, monitor team adherence, and uphold accountability for outcomes.
- Maintain robust relationships with project stakeholders, prepare detailed plans and reports, and ensure adherence to SLAs with internal units to improve turnaround times.
- Support customers with product-related inquiries and manage escalations ensuring obstacle removal for progress continuity.
- Provide leadership and mentoring for project managers on stakeholder engagement, resource planning, and project tracking.
- Develop and enforce project management policies, monitor scope, time, cost, and quality constraints for multiple projects simultaneously.
- Approve project schedules and resource procurement to ensure timely delivery within budget and quality standards.
- Review project documentation to ensure alignment with regulatory and quality benchmarks, and conduct risk analysis and mitigation.
- Evaluate post-implementation efficiency, lead improvement initiatives through cross-functional collaboration, and foster a culture of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking among teams.
- Commit to continuous learning by staying updated on IT services, system architecture, and industry trends, and support professional growth for self and staff.
- Manage team performance, resolve conflicts proactively, and guide staff development to prepare them for higher responsibilities.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of applicable experience, ideally within globally recognized banks.
- Relevant training certifications in systems technology, management, and banking.
- Professional project management certifications such as PMI or Prince2 are essential.
