About the Role

This position is a hands-on Human Resources Generalist role within a boutique global asset management firm located in Midtown, New York City. The successful candidate will serve as a key partner to leadership, managing the firm’s comprehensive HR operations for approximately 100 employees across the US. The role requires working onsite three days a week and supporting a small team of two HR professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end recruiting and onboarding processes to attract and assimilate new talent.
  • Ensure HR policies comply with applicable regulatory, legal, audit, and governance standards.
  • Administer and assess employee benefits programs to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting and strategic workforce planning to support organizational goals.
  • Facilitate work visa processing and support employee immigration needs.
  • Oversee payroll processing and reconciliation, benefits management, recruiting activities, and employee relations by effectively coordinating with external vendors and internal teams.
  • Resolve employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and managing accommodation requests.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and enhance HR workflows, policies, and system efficiencies to improve operational effectiveness.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; possession of HR certification is advantageous.
  • Between 7 to 10 years of advancing experience in HR generalist roles.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, payroll systems, immigration visa processes, and compliance reporting requirements.
  • Experience within the banking sector or other strictly regulated international financial services environments is essential.
  • Previous work experience in organizations housing fewer than 200 employees is required.
  • Prior exposure to international client bases or working for a parent company with international operations is necessary.

Compensation and Work Location

The annual salary range is $165,000 to $175,000, complemented by a performance-related bonus. The role is primarily onsite in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, with a three-day in-office workweek.
