Role Overview
The Vice President in Equity Capital Markets (ECM) will spearhead the full cycle origination and delivery of equity and related securities transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, ATM programs, private equity placements, and convertible instruments. This position demands deep expertise in equity market mechanics, capital structuring, and strong leadership aptitude within a dynamic environment based in New York, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of equity and equity-linked transaction processes, from client pitches to pricing, allocation, and supporting aftermarket activities.
- Design transaction frameworks, pricing methodologies, allocation plans, and capital raising strategies aligned with client goals.
- Evaluate market trends, valuations, and investor appetite to optimize timing and transaction size.
- Develop comprehensive investor marketing and engagement plans, including roadshow coordination and targeting strategies.
- Monitor transaction outcomes, competitive landscape, and market conditions to refine sourcing and execution tactics.
- Navigate complex structuring, regulatory compliance, and execution challenges during transaction lifecycles.
- Ensure adherence to SEC, FINRA, and relevant international regulatory requirements while implementing robust risk management protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5 years of ECM experience specializing in origination and execution of equity and equity-linked deals across sectors.
- Demonstrable success advising corporate clients on capital structure, equity issuance options, and timing strategies.
- Advanced valuation proficiency and ability to manage complex transaction designs.
- Thorough understanding of investor profiles including long-only, hedge funds, retail, and private equity, especially related to convertible and derivative products.
- Expertise in managing diverse transaction risks encompassing market, execution, and reputational aspects.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SEC and FINRA regulations as well as global equity offer frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CFA or similar professional credentials preferred.
- Licenses: FINRA SIE, Series 63 & 79 examinations.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is from $225,000 to $288,000 depending on experience, skills, and location. Candidates may also be eligible for discretionary performance bonuses and incentive compensation.
