About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and meticulous Asset Backed Debt Syndicate Analyst to join our team in New York, NY. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the distribution and execution of investment-grade and asset-backed securities offerings targeted at institutional investors. You will gain comprehensive exposure to the investment banking and capital markets sectors, working alongside an industry-leading team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination process of investment-grade and asset-backed mandates by providing essential market data and insightful commentary.
- Develop a broad understanding of our investment-grade, asset-backed, and corporate banking operations.
- Assist in deal executions by preparing internal marketing content, coordinating with the sales team, and managing the orderbook building using our dedicated bookbuilding platform.
- Oversee operational processes by collaborating with internal operations, settlements, sales, trading, compliance, market risk, and treasury teams.
- Perform detailed analysis of issuance data, macroeconomic trends, and market developments to produce informative daily, weekly, and quarterly reports for clients and senior management.
- Maintain accurate internal deal and market databases for various product groups.
- Monitor risk exposures and ensure all compliance standards are met.
- Partner with the IT project management group to create and manage technological solutions aimed at data upkeep and enhancing desk productivity.
- Build strong collaborative relationships with peers and senior management across Capital Markets and other divisions both domestically and internationally.
- Coordinate seamlessly with capital markets, legal, and compliance teams to ensure efficient deal execution and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
- At least one year of pertinent experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information concisely and clearly.
- Keen attention to detail combined with a strong analytical approach.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in team settings and engage in cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A strong intellectual curiosity about financial markets and products, coupled with a willingness to continuously learn.
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is between $110,000 and $130,000, influenced by qualifications, experience, and market conditions. The compensation package includes a comprehensive benefits plan along with eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus.
