Role Overview

The Vice President, Contract Logistics for Asia, holds a pivotal leadership role responsible for steering growth, operational excellence, innovation, and strategic expansion across the region's contract logistics business. This role involves owning and implementing strategies across warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, ecommerce logistics, value-added services, inventory management, omnichannel solutions, and integrated supply chain models, aiming at profitable revenue growth and high customer retention.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement the Asia Contract Logistics growth strategy aligned with global objectives, targeting relevant industry sectors such as technology, retail, ecommerce, healthcare, automotive, semiconductor, aerospace, and more.
• Drive expansion into fast-growing Asian markets and craft strategic plans for acquiring multinational and regional clients.
• Oversee full regional P&L accountability, promoting sustainable EBITDA and EBIT advancements while managing costs and operational productivity.
• Lead strategic sales campaigns, regional tenders, contract negotiations, and foster collaboration across freight forwarding and supply chain services for integrated offerings.
• Enhance operational efficiency and excellence within multi-user warehouses, dedicated facilities, ecommerce centers, and last-mile logistics partnerships.
• Champion technology adoption in warehousing through automation, AI forecasting, robotics, warehouse and transportation management systems, and data analytics.
• Build best-in-class solutions engineering teams to design innovative customer solutions and improve bid success rates.
• Support inorganic growth via identifying acquisition targets, engaging in due diligence, operational assessments, and managing post-merger integration to achieve synergy targets.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to standardize procedures, enhance productivity, and lead large transformation programs.
• Develop and lead a top-tier contract logistics leadership team with succession planning, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and engagement.
• Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements while promoting safety, environmental sustainability, and robust risk management.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field; an MBA or Master’s degree is preferred.
• Over 15 years of experience in logistics and supply chain, including at least 8 years in senior leadership roles within contract logistics.
• Proven regional leadership experience across Asia overseeing large-scale warehousing operations with demonstrated P&L ownership.
• Expertise in leading transformation projects and familiarity with M&A activities and post-merger integrations.
• Strong commercial acumen with extensive customer-facing experience.
