Role overview
Meta is hiring a Vice President of Content Studio to steer its in-house social function within the Communications and Public Affairs organization. This executive will own the direction and execution of the company’s content strategy, guiding the creation of engaging narratives, campaigns, and creative materials that communicate Meta’s brand, products, and mission to audiences around the world.
The role operates at the crossroads of storytelling, creative planning, and communications. It is responsible for shaping how Meta is represented across channels through distinctive, high-quality content. The leader will oversee a cross-functional creative group made up of creative directors, content strategists, and production experts, ensuring the work connects with consumers, journalists, policymakers, and employees.
Key responsibilities
- Set the long-range vision for Meta’s Content Studio and company-owned social channels, making sure it supports broader business and communications priorities.
- Work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional partners to turn company priorities into effective creative and content strategies.
- Position creative content as a strategic driver of Meta’s reputation, brand presence, and product communication.
- Guide the production of original work across video, editorial, social, interactive, and multimedia formats.
- Establish and protect strong creative standards and quality expectations for all studio output.
- Advance new approaches to content formats, storytelling methods, and distribution planning.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing creative organization.
- Recruit, grow, and retain exceptional talent.
- Build a culture centered on creative excellence, teamwork, and decisions informed by data.
- Oversee studio budgets, staffing decisions, and production processes so operations remain efficient and scalable.
- Create and refine measurement systems to assess content results, audience engagement, and business value.
Minimum qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in content creation, creative leadership, media production, or a similar field.
- At least 10 years of people-management experience, including direct leadership of directors and senior leaders.
- Proven success in building and scaling creative teams and content operations.
- Background in developing content strategy for a large brand, media organization, agency, or technology company.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in technology or with a major consumer brand that has global reach.
- Deep knowledge of social platforms, digital content ecosystems, and emerging content formats.
- Experience in video production, editorial work, brand storytelling, or integrated campaigns.
- Ability to work through complex stakeholder environments and convert corporate strategy into creative output.
- Comfort using audience insights and data to improve content performance.
- Experience leading creative teams through ambiguity and periods of organizational change.

Compensation and benefits
The annual base pay range for this role is $449,000 to $472,000. In addition to base pay, the package may include bonus, equity, and benefits. Final compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
