The Vehicle Inspections and Lot Coordinator is a practical, hands-on role that combines office-based administration and customer communication with outdoor vehicle handling, cleaning, and inspection. The position requires working in all weather conditions, staying organized, and managing multiple priorities while supporting EBlock’s goal of delivering an outstanding digital auction experience.

This full-time role is based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm MDT.

Compensation and Benefits

The base pay range for this role is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour. Depending on experience, qualifications, skills, and location, the role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission-based pay.

Key Duties

  • Work carefully and take ownership of tasks so assignments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Move, clean, and inspect vehicles, including detailing them to meet company standards and shoveling snow when required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders through clear, respectful communication by phone, email, and in person.
  • Support day-to-day administration such as organizing files, preparing documents, and compiling statistical information.
  • Help create a strong customer experience by being proactive, practical, and willing to step in wherever needed.
  • Identify problems, collaborate with others, and help implement solutions that support both the customer and the business.
  • Handle confidential matters with discretion, tact, and professionalism.
  • Use software tools effectively, including Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications.
  • Maintain accurate records, efficient filing systems, and careful data entry and analysis.
  • Follow safety rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Maintain dependable attendance and a consistent work schedule.
  • Inspect vehicles on-site and off-site as needed.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent credential is required.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in the automotive or transportation sector is preferred.
  • Previous experience with AutoGrade or vehicle inspections is an advantage, though not mandatory.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver’s licence, and have a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and a resourceful, solution-oriented mindset are needed.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision while still contributing effectively in a team setting.
  • Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles is required.
  • Experience with web-based applications and automotive inspection tools is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, dependable work habits, and a high standard of customer service are essential.
  • Must be comfortable with outdoor physical work and able to spend extended periods on foot and walking medium to long distances during the workday.
