About the Role

DB Fahrwegdienste GmbH specializes in construction site safety and vegetation management along the entire rail network of Deutsche Bahn. We secure approximately 100,000 track construction sites annually using advanced technology and support railway projects with logistics for material transport. Seven branches and 36 regional service areas manage the maintenance of around 60,000 track kilometers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently and reliably conduct vegetation maintenance along railway tracks to ensure safe and reliable train operations.
• Operate professional equipment such as chainsaws, brush cutters, mulching and specialized machinery, safely fell trees, and properly dispose of cut vegetation.
• Identify and address quality deficiencies autonomously, acting with safety as a priority.
• Detect potential hazards in the vegetation promptly and intervene where necessary to mitigate risks.

Candidate Profile

• Completed vocational training as a forester, gardener in landscape and horticulture, or comparable professional experience in vegetation management.
• Possession of a chainsaw operator certificate or willingness to obtain it through the company.
• Ideally hold a valid class B driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle for daily travel to worksites and equipment transport.
• Motivated to grow personally and professionally to sustain reliable performance in this responsible role.
