About First Momentum Ventures
First Momentum Ventures invests in pre-seed rounds for Deep Tech and B2B Tech startups across Europe, supporting cutting-edge technologies such as quantum computing and in-space propulsion. With a team largely composed of engineers and scientists, the firm actively collaborates with founders to provide hands-on support critical to their success. More than 50 investments have been made, many leading to follow-on funding from top international VCs.
Internship Role and Responsibilities
- Assist the investment team in identifying promising pre-seed startups utilizing diverse sourcing methods.
- Independently conduct preliminary screening calls with startup founders.
- Manage incoming startup applications and coordinate communications with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support startups throughout the investment cycle, from initial sourcing and due diligence through to closing the investment.
- Participate in Investment Committee meetings, gaining direct exposure to decision-making processes.
- Perform detailed research on various topics and present insights to the team.
- Contribute to investor relations by managing inquiries and assisting on related projects.
- Provide support to the Partners with portfolio management activities.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong academic credentials in economics, technology, or related disciplines, combined with practical experience in dynamic environments, preferably within the startup ecosystem.
- Excellent analytical capabilities, high motivation, and a track record of delivering exceptional results.
- Ability to work autonomously and enthusiasm for engaging with challenging assignments.
- Curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, and effective communication with founders and team members.
- Deep interest in venture capital and startup industries.
- Proficiency in both German and English at full working level.
