Role Overview

The Visiting Associate will be a core member of the investment team, taking ownership of sourcing, evaluating, and supporting startup investments. This role is tailored for individuals with one to three years of professional experience seeking to enter the venture capital ecosystem and accelerate their career trajectory. Whether candidates have backgrounds in consulting, startups, or technical fields, this position is an ideal stepping stone toward leadership roles in startups or VC.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify high-potential early-stage tech startups across Europe, independently managing initial founder interactions, assessing innovations, and building personal investment convictions.
• Engage fully in the venture investment lifecycle alongside the team, including sourcing, due diligence, investment committee participation, and closing deals.
• Conduct weekly in-depth research into emerging technologies and market dynamics, delivering data-driven insights that inform investment strategies.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio companies by aiding in go-to-market strategies, automation initiatives through AI, and operational efficiency improvements.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

• Possess 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in startups, consulting, or technical roles.
• Exhibit strong analytical skills capable of bridging technical literature, business models, and founder dialogues effectively.
• Demonstrate high ownership and proactive execution without needing constant supervision.
• Hold a keen interest in deep technical subjects, whether through engineering background or a passion for breakthrough technologies.
• Communicate fluently and persuasively in both German and English for diverse stakeholder interactions.
