Role overview
Reimagined Parking is hiring a Valet Parking Attendant for its White Plains, NY operation. This hourly position pays $17 to $18 per hour, with shifts that vary. The role is based in the Operations - Field department at the I71-12_55 Bank Street location.
The position is centered on safely parking and retrieving guest vehicles while providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service. The attendant is expected to work closely with the Operations Manager, Shift Supervisor, and other team members to support smooth daily operations, strong customer experience, and compliance with safety rules and applicable state and local regulations.
Core duties
- Manage the complete valet flow from guest arrival through departure, including greetings, key collection, ticket issuance, and entry of customer details into electronic systems.
- Park and return vehicles in a safe, efficient manner while keeping accurate track of each vehicle’s location.
- Check vehicles for existing damage and record observations using electronic or paper ticketing methods.
- Provide prompt, friendly support to guests, including answering questions and offering directions or other help when needed.
- Represent the brand professionally by assisting guests with doors, luggage, and personal belongings.
- Support traffic flow and site safety by directing vehicles, placing barriers, watching drive or ramp areas, and arranging towing when necessary.
- Collect valet charges, process fees accurately, and help reconcile shift revenue and ticket records at the end of the shift.
- Bring vehicles to waiting guests quickly and help with baggage or belongings when required.
- Report any incident, accident, or claim immediately to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with guests, clients, supervisors, and coworkers at all times.
Skills and experience expected
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-moving environment, interacting with the public continuously, and making sound decisions quickly. Previous valet experience is helpful but not required. The role also calls for the ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Working conditions and physical demands
- Work takes place in parking garages, lots, booths, and outdoor areas.
- The role includes exposure to heat, cold, rain, wind, and snow depending on the season and region.
- It is a busy, customer-facing environment with regular interaction throughout the shift.
- Employees may be exposed to traffic, noise, and difficult customer interactions while remaining professional.
- The job requires operating guest vehicles with normal hand-eye and hand-foot coordination.
- Frequent walking or running between the valet stand and parked vehicles may be required, sometimes for the full shift.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of customer luggage or personal items up to 50 lbs may be needed.
Required qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- Applicants must pass a background check in line with company policy and applicable law.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide the documentation required by the Department of Homeland Security.
