Role overview

Enterprise Mobility is looking for a dependable full-time Automotive Detailer to join its team in Hobbs, New Mexico. The role starts at $16.00 per hour, based on a 40-hour workweek, and is located at 6324 W Carlsbad Hwy, Hobbs, NM 88240.

Schedule

  • Sunday: Off
  • Monday through Friday: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Saturday: 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on alternating weekends

About the role

This position supports Enterprise’s focus on top-tier cleanliness and safety standards. As an Automotive Detailer / Car Washer, you will prepare a range of vehicles so they are clean, sanitized, inspected, and ready for customer rental use.

Enterprise Mobility operates a broad transportation network that includes car rental, carsharing, truck rental, fleet management, retail car sales, and travel management services through its brands and affiliate companies.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean, sanitize, vacuum, and ready the inside of vehicles following standard procedures.
  • Wash, rinse, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks of various sizes.
  • Review fuel levels and dashboard warning lights, inspect windshields for damage, reset vehicle settings when needed, remove and secure customer belongings, and confirm registration details match the license plate.
  • Check fluids, top them up when necessary, and inspect tires for condition, pressure, and tread wear, along with exterior damage.
  • Refuel vehicles and move them into the correct staging area.
  • Identify safety issues, document warning lights or damage, and remove vehicles from the prep flow when necessary.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from unsafe or hazardous conditions.
  • Use equipment such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
  • Help customers when needed and may provide transportation to and from branches.
  • Support overall branch presentation by cleaning interior and exterior spaces.
  • Handle site-cleanliness tasks such as wiping desks and counters, cleaning phones, mopping floors, emptying trash, maintaining bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping the lot, and completing other upkeep duties.
  • Work on performance improvement through self-review, training, skill growth, and goal setting.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
  • The driving record must be free of drug- or alcohol-related convictions within the last 5 years.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • At least 12 consecutive months of previous work or organizational experience is required.
