Job description

Overview

This prominent and advancement-focused position merges clinical education, relationship cultivation, healthcare system strategy, and tangible revenue growth. It suits candidates who excel in complex healthcare settings, enjoy engaging directly with providers, and are driven to develop sustainable programs that improve patient health outcomes and support organizational expansion.

Key Role Highlights

  • Chance to design and develop therapy programs within a highly intricate healthcare system.
  • Directly improve veteran patient health using non-drug treatment alternatives.
  • Significant autonomy combined with oversight from executive and sales leadership.
  • Clear advancement opportunities toward regional or national Veterans Affairs leadership roles.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and strengthen strategic partnerships with VA clinical teams, service leaders, prosthetics departments, and administrative decision-makers.
  • Act as the main contact for therapy adoption, reimbursement guidance, and ensuring long-term program viability at assigned VA sites.
  • Deliver thorough clinical and product education, including demonstrations and ongoing training for therapy solutions.
  • Establish authority as a subject matter expert across therapy indications, best clinical practices, documentation, coding, VA Medical Center policies, and patient access routes.
  • Drive measurable growth in therapy use and prosthetics orders within assigned VA facilities.
  • Help achieve growth targets by increasing patient initiations, activating new prescribing providers, and standardizing referral processes.
  • Contribute to both facility and regional expansion goals, supporting additional VA Medical Centers and Veterans Integrated Service Network projects over time.
  • Meet or surpass VA payor growth objectives for 2026 by directly impacting organization revenue, market share, and long-term sustainability in federal health systems.
  • Function as a sales-oriented role with accountability for productivity, evaluated through utilization growth, order volume, provider adoption, and facility expansion.
  • Evaluate VA clinical and administrative workflows to find bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  • Collaborate with clinical and prosthetics teams to implement efficient procedures consistent with VA policies and payer demands.
  • Ensure therapy programs comply with VA reimbursement structures, prosthetics service needs, and medical necessity documentation.
  • Adapt strategies based on regulatory updates, payer changes, and organizational goals, translating them into actionable plans.
  • Monitor adoption trends, barriers to utilization, and growth possibilities across assigned facilities.
  • Provide strategic feedback, utilization data, and forecasting to sales leadership supporting regional and national VA efforts.
  • Support expansion into further VA Medical Centers, Community-Based Outpatient Clinics, and VISN initiatives once operational maturity is reached.
  • Work closely with government accounts, contracting, reimbursement, and marketing teams to speed growth.
  • Adapt responsibilities, scope, and assigned locations according to business and organizational needs.
  • Travel locally and regionally to VA facilities and affiliated clinics as needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Background in healthcare, medical devices, clinical sales, or federal healthcare systems.
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and strategically in complex healthcare environments.
  • Experience with rehabilitation, pain management, or prosthetics teams is advantageous.
  • Prior VA experience or connections preferred but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Preferred minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare, medical devices, or clinical field roles.
