Role Overview
The company is seeking a passionate User Experience Researcher/Designer with up to four years of experience to elevate the UX standards for federal agencies including the Department of War. The role involves a thorough understanding of agency missions, user needs, and applicable policies while engaging in standard UX responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with user research efforts such as interviews, surveys, quantitative analysis, and usability testing.
- Interpret user data and aid in creating personas, journey maps, and other user-centric materials.
- Support the preparation of research documents and presentations.
- Design wireframes, mockups, and prototypes under senior designers' supervision.
- Engage in design critiques and review sessions.
- Adhere to UX best practices in developing design solutions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other team members effectively.
- Communicate design choices clearly and succinctly.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth in UX skills and keep abreast of current trends and methodologies.
Candidate Profile
- 0-4 years of UX experience with a solid grasp of user-centered design principles.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative UX research methods.
- Experienced with design tools like Figma, maintaining well-organized files and prototyping abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Fast learner who critically evaluates own work and adapts readily to challenges.
- Portfolio showcasing practical UX applications.
- Preferred education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
