Job description
Role Overview
This internship sits within the TikTok Shop product team in the EMEA region. The team is focused on shaping a secure, intuitive, and innovative e-commerce experience for users as social commerce continues to expand. The internship is designed for students seeking practical exposure, real-world product work, and structured professional development.
Team and Internship Experience
TikTok describes its internship programme as a hands-on opportunity for students to build core skills and explore possible career directions. The programme includes social events and development workshops, giving interns a chance to learn in a collaborative environment while contributing to meaningful work. The internship runs for 12 weeks.
For EMEA internships, the available start dates are 8 June 2026, 22 June 2026, and 6 July 2026. Applicants are asked to clearly mention their availability in their CV, including start and end dates. Candidates may apply for up to two positions globally across TikTok and its affiliates, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and ongoing improvement of TikTok Shop user-facing products, including Live, product detail pages, reviews, checkout and transaction journeys, promotions, and related modules.
- Use user insights, competitor analysis, product metrics, and customer feedback to spot opportunities, understand business challenges, and drive continuous product iteration.
- Work closely with teams across functions to align priorities, keep communication flowing, and help deliver project objectives effectively.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s programme in computer science, business analytics, mathematics, or statistics.
- Strong grounding in product planning and strategy, with the ability to turn business problems into practical product solutions and build short-, medium-, and long-term execution plans.
- Excellent analytical ability to diagnose product issues and independently suggest actionable improvements.
- Good user empathy and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand context and assess results thoughtfully.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, including the ability to surface issues, coordinate between teams, and manage resources well.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
- Interest in user products is preferred.
- Prior experience in an e-commerce platform or other social media platform is a plus.
- Availability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2026 is required.
