Position Overview
The University Recruiter role is critical in generating a talented pool of engineering, manufacturing, and technical students nationwide. As a representative of SpaceX, you will engage with prospective candidates, embodying the company's values with enthusiasm and professionalism, while working both collaboratively and independently to meet recruitment goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a high volume of intern candidates and coordinate with hiring managers to transition interns into full-time employees.
- Organize and participate in outreach events at leading universities.
- Screen a continual influx of applicants for various job openings as the company's reputation attracts top candidates.
- Proactively source passive candidates who may not be actively seeking new opportunities.
- Engage with client teams to assess candidate suitability and recommend individuals for interviews.
- Facilitate the offer process once candidates are approved for hiring.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with at least one year of recruiting experience; or associate's degree and two or more years' recruiting experience; alternatively, three or more years of professional recruiting experience without a degree.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Proven background managing a large-scale university recruitment program.
- Expertise in high-volume recruitment processes.
- Experience planning and executing recruitment events.
- Demonstrated longevity and success in recruitment roles.
- Ability to discern exceptional talent, distinguishing the top 5% from the top 50% within respective fields.
- Skilled in unconventional recruiting techniques such as cold calling, organizing networking events, identifying industry authorities, and creating customized sourcing campaigns.
- Comfortable collaborating directly with high-level technical leaders, including directors and VPs.
- Strong relationship-building capabilities with candidates and hiring managers alike.
Additional Conditions
- Position involves approximately 30% travel.
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
- Role is based in Bastrop, TX and requires working onsite; remote work is not an option.
