The role is embedded within the hospitals and healthcare industry, serving a specialist nurse-led care provider for adults and young people with complex medical needs.

Role Overview

The Healthcare Recruiter will actively source, engage, and screen candidates, moving them efficiently through the recruitment pipeline to meet the evolving staffing requirements. Success is measured not merely by the number of candidates but by actively progressing suitable individuals through interview, compliance, training, and readiness stages in alignment with client needs and shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source candidates through tools such as LinkedIn, job boards, ATS talent pools, previous applicants, and referrals.
  • Rapidly review applications and promptly contact qualified candidates.
  • Maintain active engagement with candidates via calls and communication to ensure movement through recruitment stages.
  • Screen candidates for relevant experience, availability, location logistics, shift patterns, legal right to work, and role suitability.
  • Manage candidates through interview scheduling, onboarding processes, compliance checks, and training readiness.
  • Re-engage previous or dormant candidates suitable for current openings.
  • Keep candidates informed of their next steps and maintain clear communication.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within TeamTailor and other recruitment and compliance systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Coordination, Care Management, and Clinical teams to understand priority staffing gaps and rota risks.
  • Escalate issues proactively when candidate flow or quality is insufficient to meet operational needs.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • Experience in recruitment, resourcing, staffing, onboarding, or candidate management is required.
  • A proactive attitude toward candidate sourcing and engagement.
  • Confident phone presence and strong interpersonal skills to engage candidates warmly and professionally.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong data entry and system usage skills.
  • Sound judgment assessing candidate reliability and suitability for specific care roles.
  • Persistence in advancing candidates through required hiring stages while maintaining professionalism.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, social care, complex or domiciliary care recruitment, or compliance-driven hiring processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with recruitment platforms like TeamTailor, LinkedIn, Indeed, Totaljobs, CV databases, and screening systems such as Access Screening is beneficial.

Additional Information

This role involves participation in the office-based on-call rota. The recruitment process includes application screening, a short video interview, and a final in-person meeting at the Richmond Head Office. The company is currently accepting applications and aims to fill the position promptly for an ideal candidate.
