Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated, permanent full-time uncertified early childhood teacher to join our vibrant learning community in Queenstown. This position focuses on fostering exploration, curiosity, and social-emotional growth for children from early learning stages. The role involves creating nurturing environments and working collaboratively with families and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Room Leaders in delivering an innovative, inquiry-based curriculum.
  • Monitor and document individual children's development to tailor learning experiences.
  • Maintain safe and stimulating indoor and outdoor play areas encouraging discovery.
  • Establish respectful partnerships with families to involve them actively in learning.
  • Participate in a reflective team culture that values inclusivity and collaboration.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Engage continuously in professional learning and contribute new ideas.

Candidate Profile

  • Deep enthusiasm for early childhood education and aiding young learners' development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build meaningful connections with children and families.
  • Positive outlook, eagerness to learn from experienced educators, and adaptability.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities and constructive participation in group settings.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for daily interactions and documentation.
  • Interest in New Zealand's early childhood curriculum, Te Whāriki, and eagerness to develop expertise in child-led, play-based learning.
  • Dependability, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining policies, safety, and routines.
