Job description
Role Overview
An established banking and payments transformation initiative in Doha is seeking two User Acceptance Testing professionals to support a technology delivery team. The assignment focuses on essential card and payments work, including new functionality, product enhancements, and regulatory updates, with close coordination between business and technology stakeholders.
This is a 12-month contract based onsite in Doha, Qatar, and there is a strong chance of renewal. The position offers meaningful exposure to large-scale delivery work in a business-critical environment.
What You Will Do
- Create and run UAT scenarios and test cases using business requirements as the basis.
- Check end-to-end transaction journeys across card and payment platforms.
- Log, follow up, and monitor defects until they are resolved.
- Carry out regression checks and assist with release readiness.
- Work in coordination with business representatives, project teams, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Produce test documentation, execution summaries, and support formal business sign-off.
Experience and Technical Background
- At least 5 years of experience in UAT or QA roles within banking, financial services, or payment operations.
- Practical experience testing card products such as credit, debit, and/or prepaid cards.
- Good knowledge of card issuance, transaction handling, settlements, chargebacks, disputes, and related payment workflows.
- Exposure to Card Management Systems (CMS).
- Working knowledge of defect and test tracking tools, including Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder coordination experience.
Preferred Exposure
- Prior involvement in card launches, card improvement initiatives, or payment transformation projects.
- Familiarity with ATM, POS, e-commerce, settlement, reconciliation, loyalty, or rewards environments.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, delivery-oriented setting.
Additional Information
Location: Doha, Qatar (onsite)
Contract duration: 12 months, with a high likelihood of extension.
