Overview

The Finance & Operations Business Analyst role is designed to partner with the finance department at Toastmasters International to identify and address current and forthcoming needs. Collaborating closely with the Business Systems Director and the MS Dynamics 365 Solution Architect, you will play a key role in defining requirements, designing solutions, and resolving issues to enhance the efficiency and precision of financial and operational services. Ideal candidates will have a background in finance and accounting alongside strong technical ERP skills to implement robust and scalable solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements associated with finance and operations by working collaboratively with stakeholders.
  • Configure and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 financial modules to meet business demands.
  • Pinpoint opportunities to optimize processes and develop strategies to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct data evaluations to offer actionable financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Create and perform test cases for system upgrades and new functionalities, ensuring financial data accuracy through validation.
  • Provide comprehensive user training and ongoing support related to Dynamics 365 features; prepare user guides and training content.
  • Liaise with IT, finance, and operations teams for smooth solution deployment and integration.
  • Produce and interpret financial reports, dashboards, and KPIs to assess organizational performance.
  • Diagnose and rectify root causes of system defects or issues.
  • Collaborate on testing documentation including test plans, scripts, and exceptions, addressing inefficiencies and quality assurance in partnership with QA leads.
  • Lead BA activities on assigned projects.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst focusing on finance and operations, with demonstrated expertise in MS Dynamics 365.
  • Proficiency using Dynamics 365 financial modules including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an aptitude for interpreting complex datasets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Experienced in process mapping and documentation creation.
  • Familiarity with financial compliance practices, including some knowledge of tax systems such as Avalara, is advantageous.
  • Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or business analysis credentials preferred.
  • Robust understanding of finance and accounting business processes.
  • Practical experience using Azure DevOps for managing new product deployments.
  • Ability to clearly articulate business requirements, product features, technological aspects, and related competencies.
  • Demonstrates leadership in technical and domain expertise.

Additional Details

The annual salary range is $110,000 to $140,000 USD.

This hybrid position combines up to three days per week onsite work at the office located at 9127 S. Jamaica St., Englewood, CO 80112, where CDC guidelines are followed.
