About the Position
This part-time clerical role is based in the 31st Judicial District of Neosho County, Kansas. The Trial Court Clerk II is responsible for handling various case filings within the office and performing related administrative tasks to support court operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process multiple types of case filings accurately.
- Utilize computer systems to document case activity and manage records.
- Issue summons and notices to involved parties.
- Receive and record payments and fees.
- Respond to inquiries from the public, attorneys, and other stakeholders.
- Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support the court.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- At least six months of clerical work experience.
- Familiarity with modern office procedures and practices.
- Proficiency with computers and standard office equipment operation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a computerized office environment.
- Understanding of financial transactions and computer systems.
- Strong customer service capabilities.
- Knowledge of court procedures and policies is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
The position is classified as Grade 18, starting at $18.75 per hour with an increase to $20.68 per hour after one year of satisfactory performance. Employees may access state judicial branch benefits as detailed in the State Employment Center.
