The Riyadh Branch in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Treasury Analyst to join a collaborative treasury team. This role focuses on foreign exchange (FX) and money market transactions, working closely with regional desks such as the DIFC Dubai treasury unit. Key Responsibilities
- Perform foreign exchange and money market trades under delegated authority, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, internal policies, and market codes, in close communication with the DIFC Dubai treasury desk.
- Monitor local currency liquidity by collecting data from authorized sources and market participants to maintain optimal cash flow at the Riyadh Branch.
- Support marketing initiatives by promoting financial market products to clients in Saudi Arabia and maintaining relationships through timely follow-ups post-transactions.
- Work alongside the Corporate Banking Team by exchanging market information to enhance team effectiveness.
- Assist in managing daily Asset Liability Management (ALM) activities by supervising processes and controls within the treasury function.
- Reduce market, delivery, and liquidity risks through regular reporting, escalating concerns to team leaders or the regional MENA head, and participating in risk committees such as MALCO.
- Contribute to team development by mentoring junior staff and sharing expertise to elevate departmental standards.
- Provide backup support for the Head of Treasury during absences to maintain business continuity.
- Ensure compliance with data protection policies by maintaining accurate records and safeguarding personal data in accordance with transparency obligations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management or department heads, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to business goals.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience executing foreign exchange and money market transactions within a reputable banking institution is essential.
- Possess a university degree or an equivalent qualification combined with practical FX dealing experience directly with clients.
- Strong numerical abilities for precise analysis of complex financial data on a daily basis.
- Fluency in English is required, with Arabic communication skills (spoken and written) highly preferred due to client demographics.
- Basic knowledge of derivative transactions is advantageous but not compulsory.
- Understanding of Islamic Finance principles is beneficial, considering regional market considerations.
- Preference given to candidates with Saudi Arabian or GCC nationality due to regulatory requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building trustful relationships with clients and colleagues.
