About the Orthopaedics Division

The division covers a broad spectrum including joint reconstruction, trauma and craniomaxillofacial, sports and extremities, elective foot and ankle, spine, and robotics and digital surgery.

Role Summary

The Commercial Analyst, based in North Ryde, NSW, reports closely to the ANZ Commercial Capabilities Lead and provides key strategic analytics and commercial intelligence supporting bids, tenders, and contracts in the Australia and New Zealand market. This role optimizes contract performance, ensures compliance, manages customer agreements, and plays a vital part in pricing strategies and financial outcomes to promote sustainable business growth and contracting excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive pricing analyses, prepare tender submissions, and develop commercial proposals to secure profitable customer contracts and successful outcomes.
  • Deliver data-driven commercial insights that inform decisions on pricing, contract profitability, and negotiation strategies.
  • Administer and manage customer contracts across public and private healthcare sectors ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient contract maintenance.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of contracts including pricing updates, document amendments, renewals, and expirations.
  • Enhance operational excellence through strong contract governance, rebate management, reporting, compliance monitoring, and ongoing process improvements.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a relevant degree with at least three years of commercial experience, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or fast-moving consumer goods.
  • Demonstrates strong analytical skills, especially in sales and pricing analytics, capable of extracting actionable insights and simplifying complex data for stakeholders.
  • Possesses good business awareness, exceptional communication skills, and can effectively engage, influence, and partner with key stakeholders.
  • Exhibits excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively, displaying a proactive and positive attitude.
