Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist based in Neu-Isenburg to independently handle day-to-day financial accounting tasks including asset accounting and bank transactions. You will manage invoice verification, payment processing, and oversee dunning procedures while supporting month-end and year-end closing tasks. Additionally, you will contribute to the digitization and improvement of financial processes and assist with internal and external reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing financial accounting activities, including asset accounting and bank postings.
• Review and record incoming and outgoing invoices, as well as credit card and travel expense reports.
• Oversee payment transactions, monitor outstanding items, and coordinate dunning processes.
• Assist with monthly and annual financial closings by preparing relevant documentation.
• Support the enhancement and digital transformation of finance-related workflows.
• Prepare and assist in creating reports for both internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Completed commercial training with a focus on accounting and several years of professional experience in financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) and German tax legislation.
• Proficiency with financial accounting software, preferably DATEV, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Meticulous, organized approach with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
• Collaborative team player with an interest in developing digital financial processes.
• Fluent in German with very good command of English.
