Overview

Indaver is a European leader in sustainable waste management, operating across Belgium, Germany, Ireland and the Netherlands. The company focuses on long-term sustainability and delivers high-quality, cost-effective services for municipal, industrial and specialist hazardous waste across Ireland. Its Meath waste-to-energy plant is the first facility of its kind on the island of Ireland.

The business is growing and is looking to add a motivated team member who is eager to learn, build new capabilities and progress their career. This position sits within the Dublin Port team.

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Role summary

The role involves receiving and storing incoming deliveries, preparing material for recovery, and loading material for transport off site.

Key duties

  • Work safely at all times and follow site procedures to help maintain a secure workplace for everyone.
  • Receive deliveries, then sort, store and process them in the correct way.
  • Enter deliveries into the company system within 24 hours of receipt and manage related paperwork according to procedure.
  • Carry out sampling, loading and unloading of material for the Recovery Facility as required.
  • Make sure containers are loaded properly and that all paperwork is completed and signed.
  • Keep the yard tidy and free from litter, and ensure equipment is looked after and repaired when needed.
  • Take part in emergency response drills and other site activities.

Experience and qualifications

A Leaving Certificate or an equivalent qualification is required. Candidates should have 1 to 2 years of experience in waste, production, warehousing or a similar environment. A forklift licence and computer literacy are essential. Experience with DGSA, ADR/IMDG, SAP or chemical awareness is beneficial. The role also calls for someone who can work independently or as part of a team, communicates clearly in writing and verbally, and pays close attention to detail.
