Overview

The Training Programme Director will collaborate closely with the Head of School to oversee and enhance various educational functions in alignment with NHS England's directives. This vital leadership position carries both professional and managerial accountability to the Head of School. The focus lies in elevating learner supervision, monitoring assessments, enriching trainee experiences, and fostering faculty involvement to ensure superior educational results now and in the future.

The director will play a pivotal role in adapting education delivery across health and social care frameworks to reflect evolving service models, creating a cohesive workforce from diverse professional backgrounds.

Responsibilities

In support of the Postgraduate Dean, the director will work collaboratively within teams to deliver education that corresponds with shifting healthcare service models. Their work ensures statutory and regulatory NHS England functions are executed to maintain high-quality care and unified NHS service delivery.

With ongoing integration announced between NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care, organizational functions will unify further.

Employment & Compliance

Should the candidate be NHS-employed, successful appointment initiates an Inter Authority Transfer through ESR for seamless onboarding, respecting the candidate's preference to opt out. Employees with contractual office bases must dedicate, on average, at least 40% of their working time onsite. New hires from outside the NHS will typically be placed at the base pay band. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
