Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a qualified Tradesperson to join Boral's Concrete Transit Mixer Field Maintenance team located in Wacol, Brisbane. This role primarily involves servicing and maintaining transit mixer equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance. Suitable candidates with relevant experience may also be considered for a Trades Assistant position.
Daily Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a small two-member team focused on maintaining transit mixer equipment.
- Guarantee that all transit mixer vehicles and heavy machinery adhere to applicable safety standards.
- Perform equipment maintenance in line with company requirements to support business objectives.
- Conduct field service duties during afternoon shifts (14:00–22:00) with a shift loading allowance.
- Ensure necessary permits and safety documentation are in place before beginning any maintenance work.
- Inspect plant equipment for defects, using the company’s maintenance tracking system.
- Carry out equipment evaluations and develop plans for continuous improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic is essential.
- Candidates with relevant experience may be considered for a Trades Assistant role.
- Possession of a Heavy Rigid (HR) driving license is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a priority on safety-first mindset.
